Red Earth Creek Fish and Wildlife

Red Earth Creek Fish and Wildlife

The Fish & Wildlife District of Red Earth Creek covers 2,587,130 hectares or 9,991 square miles. The district has many lakes and rivers and some of the best fisheries in Alberta. There are two Fish and Wildlife Officers (Ryan Green and Chuck Best) and one half time admin support. The office hours are 11:45 to 03:30 Monday to Thursday 08:15 to 12:00.

Contact Information
Office Phone 780-649-3853, Fax 780-649-3598.
District Officer Cell 780-649-9119
Charles Best Cell 780-649-9297

One of the biggest challenges that are faced by the officers in Red Earth Creek is maximizing our patrol efforts to contact resource users. We need the assistance of the residents and workers within the district to identify locations where people are using the resource. You can help by calling the Red Earth Creek Fish and Wildlife Office (780-649-3853) and letting us know the locations where hunters and fishermen are currently camped. This information will be used to maximize our patrol efforts to help ensure we are going to areas where there are hunters and fishermen to check. As an added bonus, the individuals that provide tips as to where activity is occurring within the Red Earth Creek district will have their name entered in a draw to win the opportunity to spend a day with the Fish and Wildlife Officers on a boat, quad or ski-doo patrol

Unsolved Cases

This section of our website is to highlight unsolved incidents in the Red Earth Creek District. If you have any information that can assist with solving these cases please give us a call at 780-649-3853, if the information you provide leads to charges being laid you may be eligible for a reward under Alberta’s Report-A Poacher program.

Case Number 1
On May 24, 2007 Fish and Wildlife Officers removed a net from Graham Lake that was full of fish in various states of decomposition, ranging from skeletons to live fish. The net had been left in Graham Lake since the winter.
